How the tool works
Monthly revenue = weekly billable hours × hourly price × 52/12. Subtract the percentage revenue fee and monthly fixed costs. Effective hourly income divides this net amount by all working hours, including non-billable time.
Worked example
Ten billable hours per week at 20, five non-billable hours, a 10% fee and 50 in monthly expenses produces about 730 net before tax per month and 11.23 per working hour.
Assumptions and limits
The calculation uses 52/12 weeks per month and assumes your inputs remain constant. It does not model tax, unpaid invoices, sick leave or changing demand. A negative result is a loss.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as non-billable time?

Why is zero-hour income undefined?
